When I print from PDF and keep scaling 100%, the top and bottom of the alignment brackets (I already forgot what they're called lol. Registration marks?) are cut off. I have the brackets on the sides of the page, but not the top and bottom. I can't figure out why. They're within the printable margin so it's not making sense to me. Gah!

I have a save the date card my daughter's step daughter has okayd me to make since she is not well versed in Cricut at all. Yours is more complicated than the one I have to make(bride to designed it in Canva) but the design of the card is a Grecian urn. Is it possible to actually cut that out? Im guessing I should use an offset around the urn like you would in a sticker design. Any suggestions you have would be wonderful to hear....thx

Sure wish I had seen this earlier today. I'm making some invitations that could have been two-sided, but couldn't figure out how to do it, so sucked it up and I'm printing 60 card fronts and 60 inside panels and then will glue. LOL! This video is a KEEPER!!

Great tutorial Karley! Thanks! One question I have is if I am printing an activity booklet that is 6x7.5 (so only one page per side will fit) do I even need a template or DS will just align them at the same point in the upper corner and as long as I don't move them they should cut just fine?

What press are you using?

I certainly had no issue on a cotton t-shirt but then total failure on a Hobby Lobby $2.99 baseball cap. Thought maybe the cap was made from cotton however it did not sublimate. Tried 260° - 280° and various dwell times 10 - 25 seconds. Using a Hotronix IQ360 hat press.

This video was AMAZING!!!! I purchased an ET-3850 off FaceBook MarketPlace and the person I bought it from referred to it as a sublimation printer and it included extra ink and sublimation paper. No box, no paperwork. I youtubed the printer and started playing with it, and believed it had clogged ink in it (she said it sat for 6+ months with ink in it, so of course I had to run MANY print head cleanings to clear the clogs). When I tried to do my first project, it seemed as though it may not have had sublimation ink in it. I tried to reach back out to the seller, but of course she vanished from FB and was unable to be found. I found this video/tutorial to help me remove ALL the ink in the printer and replace it with Hipoo sublimation ink. Karley's instructions and video were SPOT ON!!!!! I was worried at first, but this was EXCELLENT and best of all... DOABLE!!!!! A+ Karley! I'm a fan!

Where did you get the templet for the design?

I dunno why this is so hard to find anyone else who has done this. BTW to slice hit Shift and click on both layers you want to cut

You were brave to tackle this project. Congratulations! I mistakenly added black ink in a yellow tank. Would it be possible to use your syringe to remove the ink from the tank right where it sits in the printer? I have an Epson ET 4800

Wow! So instead of trying to cut the sticker / decal itself and then cut out the sticker as a whole you trick the machine into doing by making it cut the outline more times! CLEVER! I'm been struggling to get my machine to "line up" when I cut it the second time.

I have got to say that this is one of the BEST sticker video that I have come across on RUclips!. You were very detailed in your explanation, and we all appreciate you.

Mornin' :) I have an M1, so it looks like I won't be doing any screen prints anytime soon. I have done a five color HTV shirt where I used registration marks in the upper corners to line up each color. Having zero experience with screens, would it be possible to add a circle at the top center of your design so you can see through the screen, then place a round sticker on the shirt in a corresponding place? That way you're lined up, and the ink in the circle goes onto the sticker which you peel off when you're done. Would that work?

Hello! So I’m new to using a circuit but I’ve broken out mine that was given to me as a gift to address my wedding invitations. I followed your wonderful tutorial down to the fonts and when my cricuit is done writing on the envelope instead of “cutting” the square it uses the pen and outlines the envelope with the pen. How can I get it to not do that? 😊

I recently purchased a new Epson Eco Tank 3850 printer at Costco for $325.00. The setup was relatively easy and I had it up and running in about 15 minutes after unboxing. However, I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the printing for both documents and photos.The edging in the photos were grainy and the colors were darker then the original photos. I reset the color management and it still produced a low quality image. The scanner is also cheap inefficient. After scanning a simple document I discovered the text had jagged edges and the tops of the fonts in some sentences were chopped off. The only way I could get nice sharp fonts in a document was to scan in Photo Mode. The top automatic feeder which is used to scan multiple documents or make copies, pulls the entire stack of papers into the feeder all at once. I had to physically stagger each page individually to prevent the stack from jamming the feeder. All in all this printer is ,sfr of poor quality materials and is cheaply made. Thank God I saved the box. I'm packaging it back up and taking it back to Costco first thing tomorrow.

I highly recommend the Cameo 5, this machine will continue to work for years to come with great resale value. Stay away from Cricut if you actually want to "OWN" your machine. Cricut's software is intertwined with their cloud service so much that you actually have to log-in to their service to do any cuts. Everybody has internet these days right, so how bad could it be? Well, as a Cricut Maker 3 user for a very long time doing heavy projects, expect to not be able to login for hours when they do maintenance on their servers! I couldn't login for a whole 18 hours one time, rendering my machine useless. I just don't understand why you need to login!? I also don't understand why I need to "upload" my own cuts when the software is already running locally on my computer ... can they just import it straight from my PC? No, they want you to use the cloud!!, on top of that, their Cricut Design space program is absolutely horrific and poorly designed. Every update fixes one bug but introduces another up to and including cuts being inaccurate. I for example cut panels out of ripstop nylon for high performance kites. I work on one side of the kite and everything is fine, I wake up next morning a software update is released and all of a sudden my cuts are out of alignment by 1/8 of an inch. The average consumer will usually not see this deviation because they aren't pushing the machine to the limits like I am but for a setting where reliability, ease of use and absolutely precision are demanded, Cricut Design Space is a cancer for the Maker 3 machine ... a great machine with a very poor piece of software. Get the Cameo 5 if you're a hardcore user and you want absolutely precision and reliability. Get the Cricut Maker 3 if you want a Mc'Donalds like experience were you walk in and want to have a quick bite. With Silhoutte Studio, you don't need to upload anything, you just import the project straight from your PC or device and you're ready to work. You don't need to login to use the software, the software starts right up!

Fantastic info. I am looking to use the machine to enhance my digital art prints. My biggest issue is I have a person/image that is 12" wide by 20" tall. I would be printing the image first on a color printer then using the Cameo or Maker to do 2 things. 1- Draw a very loose drawn "outline that varies in width from say 1 mm to 3 mm (think manga comic drawing) with a black marker pen. 2- Cut out the character. So... It seems the Print To Cut is limited to 7.48" X 10" Does this exclude my project from this size cutting machine? Or.....Is there a way to print and then cut it in 2 separate pieces then splice them or butt them together? I hope I've been clear enough and you have time to respond to my query! Thank you Bradley
